Water Colour Art in the English Garden
August 7 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Join Kristen Treusch who has both a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Art History degrees as she shares her insight and knowledge of painting techniques. Take this opportunity to try working with Water colour paint on paper in a fun and educational way from an experienced artist and educator.
One of the best ways to begin painting with water colour is to paint a beautiful flower. There are several techniques that you can incorporate in your work too. You’ll begin wth drawing the outlines of your subject first, then you be very careful while painting the background so as to not encroach on the subject. Finally you add colour and details to the flowers themselves.
Now don’t worry about creating the perfect painting right away. It takes time, practice and patience. The goal here in to enjoy the process of creating your own painting, soak in the scenery and company!
No experience required, just an interest in learning. Spend 2 hours painting outside in the scenic Exchange District in your own Impressionistic style on location of your choosing around the English Garden. You will need to bring a lawn chair to sit in as picnic tables are not available and sun screen!!
Supplies are included. Best for 16+ and no spectators, please just enthusiastic artists!
